What is HMPSA ?

Hot melt pressure sensitive adhesives are solid at room temperature but soften and become tacky when heated. Once pressure is applied, they cool rapidly to create an instant, durable bond with the substrate requiring no drying and curing times which is why they are termed pressure sensitive adhesives. How HMPSA Works ?

Hot Melt Pressure Sensitive Adhesive (HMPSA) combines advanced hot melt technology with pressure-sensitive bonding for a fast and efficient adhesive process.

How to Use HMPSA ?

1.Surface Preparation:

Ensure the HMPSA solid adhesive blocks or pellets are ready and the application surface (substrate) is clean and dry.

2.Heating:

Heat the HMPSA until it melts, typically using specialised hot melt adhesive equipment. The adhesive becomes molten and ready for application.

3.Application:

Apply the molten adhesive evenly to the substrate using rollers, spray systems, or nozzles depending on the production setup.

4.Cooling:

Allow the adhesive to cool down naturally or through controlled cooling systems. It will stay tacky (sticky) but solid enough to bond.

5.Contact & Pressure:

Press the second substrate or surface firmly against the adhesive-coated surface to form an instant, strong bond.

6.Final Setting:

Maintain pressure briefly until the bond is secure and complete. The adhesive will provide durable, flexible, and long-lasting adhesion.
